Soft washing the siding and removing the algae will keep it from material degradation. It tends to cling to the surface of the vinyl siding, and its presence can trap moisture against the material. The combination of moisture and algae can lead to the growth of mold, mildew, or fungus, which can further deteriorate the siding's quality and integrity. Working in sections of the house, we started applying our cleaning solution to the home using a low pressure soft wash system and letting the soap dwell for about 10 minutes. After the dwell time, we used low-pressure water to rinse the surface thoroughly. Starting from the top and working our way down, ensuring all the cleaning solution is removed. The end result is a clean and brighter looking home.
